Zusammenfassung

Jacobs is seeking a Senior or Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water Catchment Management team across Ireland and the UK. You will develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models for flood risk and water resources projects, applying hydrological analysis and leading multidisciplinary collaboration.

You’ll mentor junior colleagues, contribute to major frameworks, and support technical assurance while advancing sustainable infrastructure solutions and climate resilience.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or related field.
• Experience developing 1D/2D hydraulic models for river, urban or coastal flood risk projects.
• Proficient with hydraulic modelling software (Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or HEC-RAS).
• Experience undertaking hydrological assessments and calculations.
• Chartered status with ICE, CIWEM or equivalent professional institution is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develop, calibrate and review 1D and 1D-2D hydraulic models using industry-leading software.
• Apply hydrological and hydraulic analysis to solve complex water management challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Support technical assurance, peer review and quality management activities.
• Analyse and interpret data using GIS platforms and analytical tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
• Contribute to project delivery from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction.
• Champion innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement across project delivery.
