Job summary

Rhenus Group is seeking an experienced warehouse operations professional in Ireland to streamline daily activities and lead a team. You will plan tasks, oversee shift coverage, and manage forklift operations to ensure smooth warehouse performance.

The role emphasizes health and safety compliance, training coordination, and active participation in quality audits, with strong collaboration across departments to maintain high data integrity and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Adequate planning and delegation of tasks to operatives.
• Providing leadership and support to the warehouse team.
• Creating shift plans and ensuring cover for holidays, training days, etc.
• Operation of forklifts and equipment as is necessary.
• Ensuring reports are acting in line with health and safety policy and incident reporting.
• Keeping accurate records of incidents and ensuring follow-up.
• Ensuring training certificates are in-date and organising refresher training.
• Correcting unsafe behaviour through leading by example, toolbox talks, and training.
• Adherence to SOPs, and ensuring the same from direct reports.
• Completion of non-conformance reports, and CA/Pas, where necessary.
• Collaborate with the Quality Department during audits.
• Maintain accurate records of data as will be requested by the General Manager.
• Fostering positive relationships with other personnel and departments in the company.
• Any additional duties as required by the manager.

Job description

Operations: ensuring the smooth running of operations through:

• Creating shift plans and ensuring cover for holidays, training days, etc.
• Operation of forklifts and equipment as is necessary.

Health and safety:

• Ensuring all reports are acting in line with health and safety policy,
• Keeping accurate records of any incidents, and ensuring all incidents are correctly reported and followed up on,
• Ensuring training certificates are in-date and liaising with HR to organise refresher training.
• Correcting unsafe behaviour through leading by example, toolbox talks, and training.

Training and development:

• Complete all training as is required by the company.
• Ensure all reports complete training using internal systems.

Quality Assurance:

• Adherence to SOPs, and ensuring the same from direct reports,
• Completion of non-conformance reports, and CA/Pas, where necessary,
• Collaborate with the Quality Department during audits,
• Maintain accurate records of data as will be requested by the General Manager

Fostering positive relationships with other personnel and departments in the company.

Any additional duties as required by the manager.
