Job summary

rhe is seeking a warehouse supervisor to oversee daily operations, plan shifts, delegate tasks to operatives, and ensure coverage for holidays and training days. You will operate forklifts and equipment as necessary, leading a warehouse team with a focus on efficiency and safety.

You will drive health and safety compliance, keep incident records, organise refresher training with HR, and support the QA process by enforcing SOPs and collaborating with the Quality Department.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of health and safety policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Operations: planning and delegation of tasks to operatives and providing leadership to the warehouse team
• Create shift plans and ensure cover for holidays and training days
• Operate forklifts and equipment as necessary
• Health and safety: maintain policy compliance, keep incident records, and ensure proper reporting and follow-up
• Training and development: complete required training and log progress in internal systems
• Quality Assurance: adhere to SOPs, complete non-conformance reports, and assist audits with the Quality Department
• Provide positive cross-department collaboration and maintain data records

Job description

What You Can Expect :

• Operations: ensuring the smooth running of operations through:
  • Adequate planning and delegation of tasks to operatives,
  • Providing leadership and support to warehouse team,
  • Creating shift plans and ensuring cover for holidays, training days, etc.,
  • Operation of forklifts and equipment as is necessary.
• Health and safety:
  • Ensuring all reports are acting in line with health and safety policy,
  • Keeping accurate records of any incidents, and ensuring all incidents are correctly reported and followed up on,
  • Ensuring training certificates are in-date and liaising with HR to organise refresher training.
  • Correcting unsafe behaviour through leading by example, toolbox talks, and training.
• Training and development:
  • Complete all training as is required by the company.
  • Ensure all reports complete training using internal systems.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Adherence to SOPs, and ensuring the same from direct reports,
  • Completion of non-conformance reports, and CA/Pas, where necessary,
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department during audits,
  • Maintain accurate records of data as will be requested by the General Manager
  • Fostering positive relationships with other personnel and departments in the company.
• Any additional duties as required by the manager.

What You Bring :

• Valid Counterbalance license required.
• Valid PPT license required.
• Valid Reach Truck license preferred.
• Valid VNA License preferred.
• 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of health and safety, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility with work hours.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
