Job summary

Choice Stores in Ashbourne, Ireland, is hiring Warehouse Operatives to join a hardworking team. You will pick, pack and process orders, load/unload deliveries, and help maintain stock accuracy. The role requires a strong work ethic, good time management, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Forklift training is a plus but not essential as training will be provided. We offer a competitive hourly rate of €14.15–€14.90, flexible hours, and development opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred.
• Forklift certification is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders in a timely manner.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, adhering to safe lifting techniques and guidelines.
• Maintain stock inventory, ensuring accuracy and organization.
• Ability to build solid safe pallets.
• Ensure all deliveries are checked in and out accurately from the warehouse.
• Ensure that Goods Receiving and Dispatching procedures are followed at all times.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Participate in routine stock checks and report discrepancies.
• Work closely with team members to achieve warehouse targets and goals.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Hourly Rate (Age 20+): €14.15-€14.90 per hour

• Age 19: 90% of the applicable adult rate
• Age 18: 80% of the applicable adult rate
• Under 18: 70% of the applicable adult rate
