Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a permanent, full-time role based in Dublin 13. The position offers an hourly rate of €15-€17 and requires experience in warehouse tasks within a distribution environment.

You will prepare and complete orders for delivery, perform picking/packing, manage stock and documentation, and operate a forklift while following Health & Safety and manual handling standards. This role suits someone with strong organizational skills and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Warehouse Operative or similar role.
• Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift license with 1–2 years experience.
• Valid manual handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including loading, packing, wrapping, labelling and shipping.
• Perform picking, packing, check-in, shipping and freight forwarding tasks.
• Accurately complete documentation for warehouse and shipping activities.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements, including manual handling procedures.
• Load/unload vehicles, count and check incoming stock, and allocate items to storage spaces using forklift.
• Sort and place materials in allocated locations and maintain stock records.

Your new role includes:

• Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule. This includes loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, and shipping orders.
• Performing a variety of tasks related to picking, packing, check-in, shipping, and freight forwarding activities.
• Accurately completing all required documentation related to warehouse and shipping activities.
• Actively participating in all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements, including adhering to manual handling procedures.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, accurately count and check incoming stock, and allocate items to appropriate storage spaces using a forklift or pallet truck.
• Sorting and placing materials in the correct allocated locations, checking for damaged or missing items, and maintain accurate stock records.

Experience you need:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative, ideally in a distribution centre.
• Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift license with 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift.
• Valid manual handling certification.
• Experience with stock counting and inventory management software, especially using scanners.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
