Job summary

Leinster Appointments Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Irish logistics and freight company for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their Finglas operation in Dublin 11. This role leads a busy warehouse, driving operational excellence, ownership and team development in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee daily performance, stock management, invoicing accuracy, and relationships with customers, suppliers and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a large, busy warehouse.
• Strong stock management and inventory control.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ideally Azyra or similar.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound operational decisions.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Irish logistics and freight company for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their busy operation in Finglas, Dublin 11. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys taking ownership, leading a team and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily warehouse operation, ensuring efficiency, productivity, cost control and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate and develop warehouse staff, ensuring high standards of performance, teamwork and adherence to safety procedures.
• Organise shifts and respond effectively to operational requirements and requests from senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with UK operations and Customs Clearance teams to ensure smooth movement of freight.
• Monitor warehouse performance, costs, margins and profitability, working closely with the Head of Finance.
• Take responsibility for accurate and timely monthly invoicing of warehouse customers and identify opportunities to maximise revenue.
• Maintain effective warehouse security procedures and ensure all site security requirements are met.
• Take ownership of Health & Safety across the site, maintaining records, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and organisation.
• Oversee the accurate measuring and cubing of incoming freight and ensure all relevant documentation is amended correctly.
• Maintain effective stock management and control.
• Manage company stock held at third-party warehouse facilities when required.
• Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out professionally, efficiently and in line with company standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and service levels.
• Take a hands-on approach when required and support the wider operation to achieve business objectives.

Candidate Profile

• The successful candidate will ideally have: A minimum of 3 years' management experience within a large, busy warehouse environment.
• Strong experience in stock management and inventory control.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound operational decisions.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ideally Azyra or a similar system.
• A strong understanding of warehouse processes, logistics and operational best practice.
• Experience managing and developing warehouse teams.

The Person We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and solutions-focused, with the confidence to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with colleagues across multiple departments, customers, suppliers and transport partners.
