Job summary

Doyle Shipping Group in Ireland seeks a Warehouse & HGV Operative to move cargo, load/unload trailers, and operate forklifts and terminal tractors. You will maintain warehouse housekeeping and assist with deliveries to customers.

The role requires HGV licenses (C/CE), relevant CPCs, and a commitment to safety on a 12-hour rotating shift. A fixed-term 12-month contract is offered with training provided.

Qualifications

• HGV category C and CE Licenses.
• All relevant CPCs in date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard of service to all customers and handle cargo loading/unloading.
• Move cargo, assist with handballing and arrange storage and distribution per procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely including forklifts and terminal tractors.
• Process documentation and system transactions for warehouse activities.
• Maintain tidiness, security and participate in vehicle/plant operations as required.
• Support with delivery/collection of materials to customers and complete tasks as directed.

Job Title: HGV & TERMINAL TRACTOR, WAREHOUSE / OPERATIVE

Summary of Position

Warehouse & HGV Operative position will include movement of cargo loaded trailers both on and off site. The Warehouse & HGV Operative is responsible for assisting with the movement of goods, products, and materials within the warehouse and onto transport. The Warehouse & HGV Operative is also responsible for the operation of warehouse machinery and equipment and is responsible for the general housekeeping of the warehouse.

Responsibilities / Principal Duties

• To deliver the highest standard of service to all customers
• To assist with the safe loading, handling, and unloading of cargo/materials
• To assist with the handballing of cargo/materials
• To ensure that incoming cargo/materials are stored, stacked, and distributed according to company procedures and instructions from your Manager / Supervisor
• To ensure the warehouse is kept tidy, clean, and secure
• To process and organise the delivery and/or collection of all materials to and from the warehouse according to company procedures and as requested by Company’s customers
• To process all necessary documentation within the warehouse and complete all relevant system transactions
• To operate the Company’s equipment, plant, and machinery, which may include forklifts , ride on power pallet truck , Terminal Tractor in a proper, safe, and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s procedures and policies
• Any other duties the management may from time to time deem necessary and reasonably require.

Hours of work

– Shift will be a 12 hour rotating shift Mon-Sun.

• Proven experience with multiple trailer configuration fridge, box, curtain siders , tippers , low loaders , double decker etc would be an advantage, but training will be given.
• Full clean articulated HGV licence

Salary: DOE
