Job summary

State Street is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Architect with deep data protection expertise to join our dedicated information security team. You will design and implement security architectures that safeguard data at rest, in use, and in transit within a regulated financial services environment.

You will collaborate with IT, legal and compliance, stay ahead of emerging threats, and lead initiatives using DSPM, CASB and SSPM to strengthen data protection across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s preferred.
• 7–10 years of information security experience focused on architecture and data protection.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of cryptographic methods and data protection architectures.
• Familiarity with DSPM, CASB and SSPM frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and maintain the security architecture for data protection.
• Develop security models and frameworks supporting data at rest, in motion and in use.
• Design cryptographic solutions and enforce data handling policies.
• Leverage DSPM, CASB and SSPM to strengthen data protection and compliance.
• Ensure architectures align with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT, legal and compliance to embed security into systems.
