Job summary

Éirconnect Communications is seeking an experienced Telecoms/VoIP Engineer to install, configure and support VoIP systems, broadband, fibre, and networking for customers across Ireland. The role is field-based with occasional nationwide travel.

Key tasks include configuring IP phones, routers, switches, and LANs, diagnosing VoIP and network issues, and delivering on-site customer support with a focus on service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Telecoms / VoIP engineering.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP and IP networking.
• Experience with routers, switches and business connectivity.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Independent on customer sites.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full driving licence – essential.

The role will involve installing, configuring and supporting VoIP phone systems, business broadband, fibre and networking solutions for customers across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure VoIP / Hosted PBX systems
• Configure IP phones, DECT handsets, call flows and extensions
• Install and troubleshoot business broadband and fibre connections
• Configure routers, switches, LANs and VLANs
• Diagnose VoIP, SIP, networking and connectivity issues
• Complete customer site installations, upgrades and fault calls
• Provide professional on-site customer support

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Telecoms / VoIP engineering

Experience with Yealink, Hosted PBX, Microsoft Teams and business networking would be an advantage.
