Job summary

City Vets Waterford City is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy small animal practice in Waterford City. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

We welcome applicants from reception, customer service or administration backgrounds, with training provided. The role offers 30–40 hours per week, with no weekend shifts and a strong emphasis on work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception, customer service or administration is essential.
• Confident using computer systems and handling multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; friendly, calm demeanor.
• Interest in veterinary environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets and manage the reception area.
• Book and manage appointments and answer calls and emails.
• Process payments and assist with day-to-day clinic administration.
• Support stock control and keep the reception area welcoming.
