Job summary

The Pet Hospital in Waterford is seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon for a role that offers clinical freedom within a supportive, collaborative team. You’ll manage your own cases, build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality first-opinion care.

We’re open to 3-4 days per week, with full-time or other flexible arrangements for the right candidate, ensuring a sustainable work pattern for you and your patients.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary surgeon with registration and ability to work independently in first-opinion practice.
• Strong client communication and clinical judgement are essential.
• Ability to manage own caseload with autonomy while collaborating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations and routine surgeries for small animals.
• Manage cases from initial assessment through to outcome.
• Provide high-quality patient care and clear client communication.
