Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a VPC Planner to coordinate workshop activities for vehicle preparation across five workshops in Ireland and five in the UK. You will collaborate with VPC managers and Customer Operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility. A driving licence is essential, and occasional travel to operational sites is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive workshop schedules and plans for vehicle preparation activities, including pre-dispatch inspections, repairs, vehicle conversions, fleet fitouts and paint shop activities
  • Coordinate with the operations team to prioritise and allocate resources to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Liaise with workshop managers, customer operations, business development and transport planning for timely workflow
  • Ensure data integrity in the CRM system to influence planning
  • Collaborate with Customer Operations, Long-Term Planning, Sales and VPC managers to organise resources
  • Generate reports on workshop performance, productivity, resource utilisation and turnaround times
  • Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Setting up of Services Basedata (Costs and customer charges)
  • Work with VPC to correct mins for jobs in the CRM system

Job Summary:

We are seeking a VPC Planner to join our Customer Operations Team. As a VPC Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning all workshop activities related to vehicle preparation in respect of our customer needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the correct vehicles are scheduled as per customer demands and work closely with VPC managers and the Customer Operations teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for optimising processes within a fast-paced environment. The VPC Planning role is to plan the workshops across 5 Workshops in Ireland and 5 Workshops in the UK

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive workshop schedules and plans for vehicle preparation activities including pre dispatch inspections, repairs, vehicle conversions, fleet fitouts and paint shop activities.

  • Coordinate with the operations team to prioritise and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and customer deadlines.

  • Liaise with workshop managers, customer operations, business development and transport planning to ensure timely planning of workflow in line with demand and seasonality.

  • Ensure the data in respect of work types and timing is accurate in the system to influence planning processes.

  • Work closely with Customer Operations, the Long-Term Planning Team, Sales and VPC Managers to ensure the correct resources are in place to deliver the work schedule

  • Generate reports on workshop performance, including productivity metrics, resource utilisation, and turnaround times.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Setting up of Services Basedata (Understanding Costs and Customer Charge out)

  • Work close with VPC to correct Mins for Jobs on the CRM System

Requirements:
