Job summary

Teleflex Incorporated is seeking a detail‑oriented finance professional to manage general ledger reporting for US entities in a hybrid work environment in Ireland’s Leinster region. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely, accurate financial data and strong controls.

Key responsibilities include US GAAP accounts, month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasts, and coordination with the Athlone processing group, while upholding SOX compliance and VAT/tax

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in a Shared Service Centre.
• SAP user level experience.
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent IT skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close.
• Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis.
• Supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans.
• Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysis.
• Collaboration with the Transaction Processing group in Athlone.
• Ensure the integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements.
• Prepare the information requested by internal and external auditors.
• Ensuring the integrity of internal financial controls.
• Ad hoc tasks as required to support Finance Function.
• Back up for other colleagues where necessary.
• Participate in mentoring programme within team.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre
• SAP user level experience
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with good time management skills
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
