Job summary

Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC is seeking an Urgent Care Physician for a full-time fixed-term position in Carrickmines, Dublin. The role requires registration with the Irish Medical Council and substantial urgent care experience.

The successful candidate will manage urgent care presentations, perform minor procedures, interpret X-rays/ECGs, and coordinate referrals within a busy private clinic. A competitive package is offered including benefits and pension.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/minor trauma/A&E experience.
• Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
• 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations.
• Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds.
• Facilitating referrals to specialists.
• Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs.
• Indicate any procedures done.
• Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation.

Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC has a full time fixed term contract (9 months) role in Carrickmines Urgent Care Clinic for the position of an Urgent Care Physician.

What Will You Do

Knowledge And Experience

What you will need to be successful

• Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice in a community setting and 2 years of recent urgent care/ minor trauma/A&E experience.
• Training in ED / GP or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
• 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
• Flexibility across a 7 day roster.
• BLS.
• Proven ability to work to tight time frames in a busy commercially focused environment.
• Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values.
