Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking a Social Care Manager in Limerick to lead a new Tusla service delivering trauma-informed care for youth aged 13–17. You will manage the centre, budget, and staff within a supportive team environment.

The role requires five years’ experience in a children’s residential setting and CORU registration. A proactive leader will drive policy compliance and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Social Care Grade in a Children’s Residential Centre.
• Eligible for CORU registration.
• CORU approved qualification or application in progress

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, caring, and stable environment for the young people placed in the centre.
• Ensure Care and Placement Plans are in place, agreed, implemented, and monitored for every young person.
• Promote rights and responsibilities of each young person in the centre.
• Participate in planning and development for Children’s Residential Centres.
• Ensure appropriate use of resources within the centre.
• Consult with young people, families, staff and external stakeholders.
• Maintain centre, furniture, vehicle, and equipment.
• Recruitment, selection and appointment of centre staff.
• Engage in age-appropriate activities and in physical intervention as per policy.
• Manage the centre budget and staff resources.
