Job summary

Primtac Personnel LTD in North Dublin is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead daily collection and delivery operations and manage subcontractors.

You will plan trunking and linehaul requirements, monitor costs, and drive KPI reporting while mentoring the transport and warehouse team to maintain Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport or logistics management.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems and KPI reporting.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.
• Confident team leader with performance management experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The Role

• Manage daily collection and delivery operations through subcontractors.
• Plan and manage trunking and linehaul trailer requirements.
• Monitor transport costs and support improved network profitability.
• Resolve operational issues, POD queries and customer concerns quickly.
• Produce and monitor KPI and performance reports.
• Ensure transport systems and daily costs are kept accurate and up to date.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and records are maintained.
• Manage warehouse staffing levels to ensure adequate operational cover.
• Lead, support and develop the transport/warehouse team.
• Set clear objectives and performance targets.
• Conduct appraisals and create development plans.
• Identify and support training and career development opportunities.
• Promote a positive, motivated and efficient working environment.
