Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Logistics & Transport Manager to lead and optimize transport operations across multiple stock locations in Ireland. You will manage scheduling, routing, and fleet utilization to ensure on-time deliveries and service excellence.

You will build relationships with transport providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance while collaborating with Production, Procurement and Sales to align logistics with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in logistics/transport management.
• Proven ability to manage inbound and outbound logistics, contracts, and provider relationships.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and health & safety.
• Experience with ERP systems and logistics software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to liaise with Production, Procurement and Sales teams.

About Your New Job

• As the Logistics & Transport Manager, you will lead and optimize all transport and logistics operations across multiple stock locations and supplier delivery channels.
• You’ll be responsible for managing daily transport operations, including scheduling, routing, and fleet utilization to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with transport providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to meet business objectives.
• Liaise closely with Production, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure logistics are aligned with business and customer requirements.
• Use data and KPIs to drive process optimization, technology adoption, and continuous improvement within logistics.
• Guarantee compliance with all transport regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.

What Skills You Need

• 5+ years’ experience in logistics and/or transport management, ideally within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage inbound and outbound logistics, contracts, and provider relationships.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and health & safety.
• Competence with ERP systems and logistics/transport software.
