Job summary

SSO Personnel are looking to hire an experienced Transport Team Leader to join our busy distribution centre located in North Dublin. You’ll lead the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring deliveries are planned, dispatched and completed safely, efficiently and on time while supporting and developing your team.

This role requires 3+ years in a transport or logistics supervisory position with strong leadership and knowledge of transport legislation, including tachograph rules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a transport, logistics or distribution supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation, including tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in food distribution is an advantage.
• Full clean Category C licence, CPC and digital tachograph card are desirable.
• Good knowledge of the local geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transport operations, route planning and dispatch.
• Lead, coach and support drivers to deliver excellent performance.
• Work closely with warehouse, sales and transport teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, depot standards and Health & Safety compliance.
• Manage incoming and outgoing goods, backhaul collections and provide relief driving when required.
• Identify training needs and lead by example in promoting company values and procedures.
