Job summary

Sysco in Dublin is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our Dublin Depot team. The role focuses on ensuring timely route dispatch, driver performance analysis, and coaching to uphold service standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in high-volume distribution, strong IT and regulatory knowledge (Tachograph, WTD), and proven leadership in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant management/supervisory experience in a high-volume, time-sensitive distribution operation.
• Competent in IT systems including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph, Working Time Directive).
• Experience with investigations/disciplinary actions.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team to deliver a best-in-class service to internal/external customers.
• Ability to plan and organize your own and your teams' work activities in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Ability to analyse, interpret, explain and present relevant business and industry data.
• Experience in a high-volume, deadline-focused, customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely and orderly dispatch of all routes for all locations; monitors schedules hourly and reports on routes and delivery times to control costs and meet customer expectations.
• Analyses driver performance by accompanying them on routes and provides coaching.
• Coaches drivers on findings and recommendations; motivates delivery team per performance processes.
• Ensures vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and safely operated to reduce accidents and enhance the company brand.
• Identifies and delivers training needs of drivers; coordinates with maintenance as needed.
• Leads by example and applies policy fairly and consistently.
