Job summary

AECOM Ireland seeks a Principal Engineer with a transport background to lead and deliver major road, greenway and urban transport schemes in Dublin from concept to construction.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, apply standards such as DMURS, Cycle Design Manual and TII Publications, and work with clients and authorities through approvals.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AECOM's culture of growth while supporting a flexible hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport design projects
• Strong communication with clients and authorities
• Knowledge of transport standards and approvals process (Part 8 / ABP / SID / EIA)
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver design packages for major road, greenway, and urban transport schemes
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across drainage, structures, and environment
• Apply DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, and TII Publications to create safe transport solutions
• Engage with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders through statutory approvals
• Mentor junior engineers and foster growth within the team
