Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to ensure product availability in our Distribution system and support the Commercial Strategy.

You will forecast to reduce excess stock while maximizing availability, coordinate with suppliers, and analyze sales data to minimise markdowns. The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work to tight deadlines; weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential.
  • Excellent PC skills and systems knowledge.
  • Excel and knowledge of AX and MRP advantageous; training provided.
  • Good organisational and communication skills are required.
  • Able to interact with customers and suppliers as a team player.
  • Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays and outside core hours.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure accurate ordering of product to support sales.
  • Forecast to reduce excess stock while maximising availability.
  • Ensure all product support documentation is received to support delivery.
  • Improve profitability within the department on excess stock and dumping.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure effective product supply.
  • Assist in ensuring the Replenishment Department meets/exceeds targets.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers.
  • Liaise with Replenishment Manager on orders for promotions/forward buys.
  • Interpret sales reports to minimise markdowns and overstocks.
