Job summary

Panda is seeking a Transport Planner to coordinate daily skip activity and support route performance in a busy transport environment. You will work with drivers, operations, customer service and accounts to schedule realistically, ensure timely completion, and maintain accurate records in the system.

The role requires strong organisational skills, calm decision-making under changing priorities, and excellent communication with multiple internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, waste management, skip operations or route scheduling is helpful.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication with drivers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate daily skip deliveries, exchanges and collections.
• Allocate drivers and vehicles to meet operational demand.
• Ensure drivers and vehicles are dispatched on time each day.
• Maintain daily and forward scheduling rosters.
• Ensure resources are available for next-day requirements.
• Monitor routes to support timely completion.
• Review route performance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Support route optimisation to reduce costs and improve service.
• Verify, complete and sign off routes in the system.
• Log and resolve system or operational issues promptly.
• Maintain regular contact with drivers and operations teams.
• Provide updates on route progress and delays.
• Coordinate ad hoc or urgent work requests as needed.
• Conduct end-of-day driver debriefs.
