Job summary

Enable Ireland, Clare Adult Services in Ennis/Shannon, seeks a dedicated Transport & Maintenance Coordinator to join the team. The role oversees transport operations, staff line management, and maintenance of premises and fleet.

The successful candidate will support Health & Safety standards, coordinate rosters, and work flexibly to meet service needs; part-time permanent contract with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a similar operational role.
• Must have a full driving licence.
• Must be eligible to work in state.
• Experience coordinating staff and rosters.
• The ability to multitask.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
• D1 licence.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or a similar environment.
• Wheelchair clamping training.

Responsibilities

• Operate the transport service and manage weekly transport schedules.
• Line manage transport staff, supervision and development.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of Ennis/Shannon premises and transport fleet.
• Liaise with key stakeholders and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Act as Health & Safety competent person for Ennis/Shannon services.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Transport & Maintenance Coordinator to join our Clare Adult Services team (Ennis/Shannon)

Contract Type: Part Time Permanent Contract

Salary: The current salary scale for this post is €35,365 to €54,027 pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post:

The Transport and Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the operation of the transport service including: completion of weekly transport schedule, line management of assigned transport staff and responsibility for their supervision, training and development.

They will also be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the premises at Ennis/Shannon and the transport fleet, while liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation.

They will act as Health & Safety competent person for the Ennis/Shannon services and work with the manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met within the services are compliant with national standards.
