Zusammenfassung

Enable Ireland is seeking a highly-motivated Adult Support Worker to join the Clare Adult Service in Ennis, Co Clare. The role works within the adult day service and the service owner’s home, providing personalised supports, assisting with personal care and mobility, and helping service users access community services and our virtual day service.

The successful candidate will have QQI Level 5 in Care skills, at least 1 year’s experience with adults with disabilities, a full clean driving

Qualifikationen

• QQI Level 5 in Care skills (including module on special needs) or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year's experience working with adults with disabilities
• Full clean driving licence with no restrictions
• Eligible to work in the state
• Effective communication skills and good recording practices
• Knowledge of social model of disability
• Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working
• Experience of working with adults in a day service setting
• Experience of working in community setting
• Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
• Knowledge of New Directions guidelines

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Adult Support Worker to join our team in Clare Adult Service, Ennis, Co Clare

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent Contract

Salary Scale: €35,771- €43,288 pro rata per annum

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 Days per annum pro rata

Overview of the Post:

The role of the Adult Support Worker is to work as part of a team within the adult day service and the service owners own home, providing personalized supports. This will include assisting to personal care needs, mobility, and supporting access to services in their community and on our virtual day service. The post holder will encourage and support opportunities to help develop a range of options for service owners in areas of training, employment and greater inclusion in their local communities.

The successful candidate will have

• QQI Level 5 in Care skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification
• Minimum of 1 year's experience working with adults with disabilities
• To hold a full clean drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
• Must be eligible to work in the state
• Effective communication skills and good recording practices
• Knowledge of social model of disability
• Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working
• Experience of working with adults in a day service setting
• Experience of working in community setting
• Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
• Knowledge of New Directions guidelines
