Job summary

Briggs Equipment Transport Ireland is seeking a Transport Compliance Manager to lead safety, governance and regulatory adherence for our ROI operations from the Portlaoise depot.

You will work with the Transport Management team to ensure compliant transport operations, driver processes and KPI performance, while building stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• National or International Certificate of Professional Competence qualification in Transport Management (desirable).
• Experience with ROI transport legislation, road safety, and compliance standards.
• Experience with transport operations, logistics, and fleet management practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transport operations across the ROI Group.
• Overseeing internal and external providers' adherence to legislation and compliance standards.
• Keeping up to date with future legislation and working with management on solutions for regulatory changes.
• Leading and monitoring transport compliance activities, driver processes, and KPI performance.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships to support operational excellence.
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and sharing best practices.
• Maintaining governance, reporting, and compliance with evolving legislation.
• Embedding a culture of safety, compliance, and operational discipline.

Briggs Equipment Ireland is part of a €100 million turnover group, businesses in our group include Briggs Equipment Ireland, Laois Hire Services, Aerial Platform Hire, Future Events Hire and GPT Plant and Tool Hire. We currently have a new position for a Transport Compliance Manager to join our transport team based in our Portlaoisedepot.

In this role, you will be working closely with the Transport Management team to maintain consistency and ensure compliance with operational standards.

What will help you to excel in this role:
