Howdens Joinery in Ireland is hiring a Counter Sales Warehouse Person to be the first point of contact for trade customers on the depot counter and to keep the warehouse organised for fast, accurate collections and deliveries.

You will build relationships, drive sales, process orders, manage stock checks and support deliveries, with clear communication, health and safety awareness, and a steady, team‑oriented approach in a busy depot environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment.
• Confident and friendly communicator with strong customer relations skills.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• A customer focused approach with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with stock records.

Responsabilités

• Selling the full range of products and services.
• Achieving and exceeding individual targets while supporting depot performance.
• Processing orders, providing pricing/quotations, and managing delivery expectations.
• Generating and following up on leads to drive sales.
• Supporting the warehouse to keep the depot running smoothly.
• Maintaining a safe and compliant environment per health and safety standards.
• Unloading and checking incoming stock deliveries.
• Conducting daily checks on forklift and other equipment.
• Maintaining stock security on outgoing orders and deliveries.
• Conducting weekly stock checks.
• Rotating stock and keeping the warehouse clean and organised.
• Supporting deliveries, collections, and general warehouse activity.
