Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a proactive trade counter specialist for a plant hire and construction equipment firm with a strong Dublin presence. You will service customers at the counter, process orders, prepare quotes, manage stock, assist with deliveries and support daily branch operations.

Applicants should have construction trade counter experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills; training will be provided where needed.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers professionally and efficiently at the trade counter.
• Processing customer orders, purchase orders, and handling sales enquiries.
• Preparing quotations and following up on customer requirements.
• Overseeing stock control, carrying out stock checks, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Receiving deliveries, checking incoming goods, picking, packing, and preparing customer orders.
• Organising and keeping the warehouse, stock areas, showroom, and counter clean and presentable.
• Assisting with deliveries and collections as needed, helping with stock replenishment, and supporting general daily branch operations.
• Collaborating with the sales team and management to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
