Job summary

Flexistaff in Dublin is seeking a friendly Trade Counter Assistant to join a busy team. You will serve trade customers, offer product advice, and ensure the shopfloor runs smoothly.

With at least 2 years' experience in plumbing/heating or a builder's merchant, you will know stock checks, pricing lookups, and using the POS system to process orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in plumbing, heating or builders merchant environment.
• Strong product knowledge in plumbing and heating categories.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the trade counter, provide quotations and process orders accurately.
• Assist with stock control, receive deliveries and restock shelves.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented shopfloor and trade counter area.
• Identify sales opportunities and upsell relevant products.

Our client is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join their busy team. This is a hands‑on, front‑of‑house role where you will serve trade customers, provide product advice, and ensure the shopfloor runs smoothly.

You’ll have strong product knowledge, confidence in dealing with trade customers, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving customers at the trade counter, providing quotations, advice, and processing orders accurately.
• Assisting with stock control, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.
• Maintaining a clean, well‑presented shopfloor and trade counter area.
• Identifying sales opportunities and upselling relevant products.
• Supporting day‑to‑day operations to ensure customers receive a first‑class experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a plumbing, heating, or builder’s merchant environment.
