Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is assisting a long-established timber processing and green technology leader in Longford, Ireland, to recruit a Production Shift Supervisor. You will coordinate production on the factory floor, drive throughput, manage a shift team and uphold safety and quality standards.

Experience in manufacturing leadership and strong communication are essential, with the ability to adapt to shift-based demands and liaise with maintenance for issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environment, with supervisory or senior operator exposure.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards and workflow management.
• Proven ability to coordinate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Experience identifying and resolving real-time operational or quality issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work a shift-based system and adapt to changing production demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activities across the timber frame factory floor.
• Maximise throughput and efficiency of materials and labour Utilisation.
• Oversee people management including recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping and general workforce discipline.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the shift.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety requirements.
• Ensure quality control through regular checks and monitoring.
• Oversee documentation accuracy related to production and loading.
• Promote right-first-time quality across the team.
• Coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues efficiently.
