Job summary

UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford invites applications for a Staff Nurse Theatre Peri-Operative role. This permanent position is 37 hours per week with a salary range of €37,657.00 – €55,837.00.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the Nursing and Multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre and endoscopy suites, delivering evidence-based care to surgical patients. Registration with NMBI and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered Nurse in the general division of the NMBI.
• Basic Life Support Training.
• Theatre Qualification (desirable).
• Demonstrate evidence of Theatre Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in anaesthetics, scrub, and circulating duties.
• Prepare equipment and instruments for patient and surgeon needs.
• Assist in Endoscopy Unit and PACU duties as required.
• Ensure effective teamwork and communication within the multidisciplinary team.
