Job summary

Techrete is seeking a reliable Temporary Kitchen Assistant to join our on-site canteen team at Balbriggan facility. You will assist with day-to-day running, food prep, service and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area.

Hours are 08:30 to 14:30, Monday to Friday. This temporary role offers an opportunity to gain kitchen experience in a busy canteen and contribute to a friendly, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, canteen or café is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and serving meals.
• Support the canteen team during busy service periods.
• Clean kitchen equipment, work surfaces and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure food preparation and storage areas are kept clean and organised.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and canteen supplies.
• Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Carry out other general canteen duties as required.

About the Role

Techrete is looking for a reliable and hardworking Temporary Kitchen Assistant to support our on-site canteen team at our Balbriggan facility.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the canteen, helping with food preparation, service and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining environment.

• Conscious of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Previous experience in a kitchen, canteen, café or similar environment is desirable but not essential.
