Job summary

Hunter Savage is seeking a Technology, Data & Privacy Solicitor to join its Irish practice in Dublin or Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with around three to four years' PQE to work closely with a senior partner who has extensive experience advising organisations on privacy, data protection, AI, cybersecurity and wider technology regulation.

Responsibilities

• Advise on Irish and EU data protection and privacy law, including GDPR compliance.
• Assist with AI governance, system development and regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on emerging digital, AI and technology regulation.
• Support cybersecurity incidents, data breaches and regulatory notifications.
• Advise on international data transfers and multi-jurisdictional privacy projects.
• Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements and tech contracts.
• Help clients establish and manage global privacy compliance programmes.
• Collaborate with corporate and commercial teams on technology, data and regulatory matters.
• Work with cross-border colleagues on mandates.

The Person

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor with around three to four years' PQE, although there is flexibility depending on relevant experience.
• Have experience in one or more areas such as technology, data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, AI or digital regulation.
• Be comfortable advising clients on complex regulatory and commercial matters.
• Have strong drafting, communication and client-management skills.
• Enjoy working collaboratively across different practice areas and international teams.
• Have a genuine interest in the rapidly developing areas of AI, privacy and technology law.
