Job summary

Harmonics Recruitment are seeking a Technical Support Team Leader to oversee the daily performance of the Technical Support Team, including Maintenance, Tooling, Calibration, and CAM functions, reporting directly to the Technical Support Leader.

This lead role suits someone at supervisory level who can support day-to-day production planning, guide problem solving, and coordinate activities with Maintenance and Tooling teams.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or maintenance qualification required.
  • Minimum 5 years in an engineering-intensive environment.
  • Experience with CNC/CAD/CAM.
  • Strong problem solving and planning skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan the day-to-day activities of the Technical Support team, incl. Tooling and Maintenance.
  • Attend daily production meetings to prioritise tasks and provide guidance to Tooling team.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of all operations equipment.
  • Help solve technical problems in production and support new equipment installs.
  • Assist in projects for ongoing installation of new equipment and replacements.
  • Work with the support leader to plan annual maintenance for all production equipment.
  • Provide leadership and feedback to the Technical Support team and promote development.
  • Other duties as directed by the Technical Support Leader.

About the job Technical Support Team Lead

Technical Support Team Leader

Harmonics Recruitment are looking to speak with candidates for a Technical Support Team Leader position. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the daily performance of the Technical Support Team, including Maintenance, Tooling, Calibration, and CAM functions, and will report directly to the Technical Support Leader.

This is a lead role suited to someone at supervisory or management level who can support day-to-day production planning and follow up on issues arising during the shift. While the position involves operational leadership and coordination, it does not include direct people management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan the day-to-day activities of the Technical Support team, which includes the Tooling Engineering team and the Maintenance team.
  • Attend the daily production meeting to prioritize the support tasks for production. Provide support and guidance to the Tooling Engineering Team and attend the weekly meeting.
  • Coordinate & support the activities of the maintenance team including the repair, servicing and installation of all operations equipment.
  • Help solve technical problems in production.
  • Assist in the completion of projects for the ongoing installation of new equipment and the replacement of existing equipment.
  • Work with the technical support leader to plan the annual maintenance for all equipment in production.
  • Support the NPI team with the delivery of new fixtures and programs for the introduction of new repairs Leadership
  • Provide leadership and feedback to the Technical Support team x Promote team development and customer friendly approach.
  • Other duties as directed by the Technical Support Leader.

Qualifications / Skills

  • A technical qualification in engineering or maintenance.
  • An excellent record of accomplishment working in a team environment.
  • Ideally very good knowledge of maintenance principles and practice.
  • Very good knowledge of CNC/CAD/CAM.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Disciplined structure approach to Project Management
  • Competent communication & report writing skills Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an Engineering intensive environment
  • Previous experience working with Maintenance and/or CNC/CAD/CAM.
  • Proven track record in problem solving in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and plan work.
