Job summary

Harmonics Recruitment are recruiting a Maintenance Technician on behalf of a leading Medical Device Manufacturer. The role is a 6 month contract, needed immediately, based in Ireland.

The technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, install/move machinery and manage spare parts, with qualifications in electrical, mechanical or automation preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical, mechanical or automation, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with maintenance documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machine maintenance according to maintenance schedules.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Install and move machines and equipment as required.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance across the site.
• Maintenance of dryers and compressors.
• Emergency maintenance as needed.
• Identify, order (via Purchasing) and fit spare parts.
• Maintain stock of critical spare parts.
• Follow SOPs and work instructions.

Department: Maintenance

Reporting to: Facilities & Maintenance Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To ensure that equipment in the factory is maintained to best possible standards with regard to safety, recommended and scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.

6 Month Contract - Needed Immediately

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Carry out machine maintenance in accordance with machine maintenance schedules.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner and to the correct standards.
• Installation of and moving of machines and equipment when necessary.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of all areas of the company.
• Dryer and compressor maintenance of all areas of the company.
• Emergency maintenance due to machine break down.
• Identification, ordering (through Purchasing Dept) and fitting of spare parts.
• Maintain a stock of critical machine and business spare parts.
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Qualification in electrical, mechanical or automation, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience of documentation and maintenance systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Must be able to work independently and within teams.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
