Job summary

Ornua, a leading dairy co-operative, is seeking a Technical Support Manager in Dublin. You will lead the Technical Support Team, drive continuous improvement, ensure supplier and quality documentation, and coordinate cross-functional projects to enhance product safety and compliance.

You will maintain quality systems, oversee regulatory adherence, and mentor staff while representing Ornua in external partnerships. A proactive, collaborative leader with 3–5 years in related roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Quality Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in Technical, QA, Quality Systems or Food Safety within the food/dairy/beverage industry.
• Experience managing quality management systems and technical data.
• Experience leading projects and driving process improvements.
• Previous people management or supervisory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Technical Support Team with clear objectives and accountability.
• Foster continuous improvement, collaboration, customer focus, and quality excellence.
• Manage supplier KPI reviews and ensure timely provision of technical and quality documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, co-packers, service providers, customers and internal teams.
• Lead stock results monitoring and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support management of downgraded stock and risk assessment with Quality Managers.
• Maintain and improve Ornua's specification and quality management systems.
• Provide training and guidance on specification management systems.
• Develop efficient and consistent ways of working across key technical support activities.
• Ensure all technical queries are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve quality, compliance, efficiency, customer service and technical capability.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve system utilisation.
• Stay updated on food legislation and customer requirements; ensure regulatory/compliance adherence.
• Support Quality Managers and coordinate technical meetings; represent Ornua professionally.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as required.
