Job summary

The Cpl Group seeks a Technical Records Specialist for Shannon to provide expert records management for aircraft engines and lease documentation. You will review and assemble documentation, liaise with customers and vendors, and maintain electronic records and MSD packs.

You will work within the Technical Services Records team in Shannon, with a hybrid working model after probation, ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives and OEM manuals while supporting stakeholders across internal

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review supplied documentation for compliance to OEM, airworthiness standards and customer requirements.
  • Liaise with Lessors, Customers and Technical Consultants; manage documentation across IT systems (e.g., AssetTransfer System).
  • Manage Engine short-term, Operations Lease and Lease Pool Induction engine documentation.
  • Create and manage documentation file structures and MSD packs.
  • Produce Lease Return Discrepancy Reports and maintain weekly tracker reports.
  • Review and update record systems; communicate with external parties to close open issues.

Technical Records Specialist – Shannon

Our client, based in Shannon, Co. Clare, is a leading employer in the aircraft engine services sector and part of a broader European aviation network. The company provides specialist engineering support to aircraft lessors during engine lease transitions and is now seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join its growing team.

The Role

As part of the Technical Services Records team, the Technical Records Specialist will provide technical record specialist services to lessors who own and lease aircraft engines.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Core functions are review of supplied documentation ensuring compliance to OEM, Airworthiness standards & Customer requirements
  • Liaising with Lessors, Customers, Technical Consultants and the management of all supplied documentation, maintenance of various IT systems such as AssetTransfer System (AirVault)
  • Management of Engine short term, Operations Lease and Lease Pool Induction engine
  • documentation
  • Creation of Lease Return Discrepancy Reports
  • Creation & management of documentation file structures
  • Creation of Asset Project & maintenance of records in various databases (Electronic Asset Transfer System)
  • Update of various record systems & Weekly Tracker reports
  • Attend and participate in weekly conference calls with Stakeholders
  • Review customer supplied documentation for accuracy & communication with Customer & any necessary outside parties to close off open issues with paperwork
  • Reviewing an aircraft engine's current and historical paperwork
  • Review documentation for Lease Pool Induction Engines including Back to Birth (BtB) review of all Life Limited Parts. Communication with any necessary outside parties to close off open issues with BtB paperwork. Communicate with external vendors to resolve any issues with LLP documentation
  • Consult with Customers, Technical Consultants, Stakeholders & numerous internal departments in order to create and compile necessary documentation for Marketing Sales Document (MSD) packs
  • Proof and amend documentation where necessary to complete MSD packages
  • Use and interpret Original Engine Manufacturer's Manuals and Service Documentation in order to review Life Limited Cycle Restrictions on LLP's being analysed
  • Keeping up to date with any new and Critical Airworthiness Directives relevant to the role
  • Use specialised computer databases containing live and archived engine/component records
  • Assist other Engineering and Back to Birth teams in the Technical Services Provision team as dictated by customer demands
Skills & Experience Required
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role within the aviation sector
  • Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail, with the ability to respond promptly and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance manuals, documentation systems, and applicable airworthiness legislation is essential
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • A thorough and methodical approach to work, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy
  • Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and technical understanding
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong people skills and a professional, flexible approach to work
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to undertake training and travel when required for work or professional development
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, as the role is primarily IT-based
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of aircraft and/or aircraft engines would be an advantage
