Job summary

ZeroOne is seeking a Data Centre Programme Coordinator to support delivery of complex DC projects across Europe. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary workstreams, manage documentation, and ensure timely sign-offs with AE/EoR partners.

The role offers a hybrid working model with travel to client sites across Europe; 2–8 years' experience in DC projects preferred and proficiency in MS Project and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or a related field.
• 2–8 years' experience in project or programme coordination, technical support, or delivery of data centre projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and document management systems.
• Awareness of relevant industry standards (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) is an advantage.
• Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, run, and document technical review meetings between client, suppliers, and AE/EoR firms; spanning MEP, controls, networking, structural, fire, and safety.
• Maintain document control and issue/action logs; ensure compliance with AE/EoR sign-off requirements.
• Ensure design packages, RFIs, submittals, and change bulletins are routed promptly to AE/EoR sign-off within SLAs.
• Coordinate and, with experience, manage portfolios of Data Centre projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Track programme, cost, and risk; prepare status reports, dashboards, and risk/decision logs for stakeholders.
• Support contractor and vendor procurement strategy in coordination with the Procurement & Cost Manager.

Job description

Coordinate and support delivery of Data Centre projects and programmes, from technical reviews and documentation through to stakeholder alignment across the client, suppliers, and AE/EoR firms. The scope of ownership you take on can range from coordinating project workstreams to owning end-to-end programme delivery. This will scale with your experience level.

Location

Remote or Hybrid with travel to European client sites as required. Locations include Dublin, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Review & Documentation

• Schedule, run, and document technical review meetings between client, suppliers, and AE/EoR firms, spanning disciplines such as MEP, controls, networking, structural, fire, and safety as relevant.
• Maintain document control and issue/action logs, ensuring compliance with AE/EoR sign-off requirements.
• Ensure design packages, RFIs, submittals, and change bulletins are routed promptly and progressed to AE/EoR sign-off within programme SLAs.
• Coordinate, and with experience manage, portfolios of Data Centre projects involving multiple stakeholders (engineering, procurement, networking, operations).
• Track programme, cost, and risk; prepare status reports, dashboards, and risk/decision logs for stakeholders, escalating issues as required.
• Support contractor and vendor procurement strategy in coordination with the Procurement & Cost Manager.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and AE/EoR firms to resolve issues promptly.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across design engineering, construction, networking, procurement, and operations as scope grows.

Quality, Compliance & Tooling

• Support compliance with client standards, document lifecycle controls, and jurisdictional codes.
• Use relevant programme and data tools to manage workflows, artefacts, and reporting; contribute to continuous improvement of DC delivery processes.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management, or a related field.
• 2–8 years' experience in project or programme coordination, technical support, or delivery of construction, engineering, or data centre projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and document management systems; growing familiarity with MEP systems, networking infrastructure, and commercial/cost-control principles expected with experience.
• Awareness of relevant industry standards (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO) is an advantage.
• Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union and be able to provide evidence of their work authorization if requested.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, Prince2 (Foundation through Practitioner), or Lean Six Sigma, commensurate with experience.
• CIPS Level 3–4 for procurement exposure, where applicable.

Preferred

• Experience with AE/EoR delivery models, RFIs/submittals, design bulletins, and change-control workflows.
• Familiarity with energy/power interfaces (utility/substation/transmission) is a plus.

Remuneration will be competitive and will be set in line with the successful candidate's level of experience, reflecting current market benchmarks for specialist data centre engineering talent in Europe.
