Job summary

ZeroOne is a specialist MEP design solutions firm focused on European data centre projects with a Dublin base. We offer remote or hybrid work and travel to client sites across Europe as required.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary design packages, run federated BIM reviews, and mentor junior coordinators as you gain responsibility. This role suits engineers with Revit/Navisworks experience who want to grow in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–8 years' experience in design coordination, BIM coordination, or a related construction support role.
• Working knowledge of Revit/Navisworks; strong organisational and communication skills; familiarity with Data Centre MEP systems and construction documentation processes.
• Awareness of QA/QC processes and site health & safety requirements is a plus.

• Track RFIs, submittals, and design change bulletins; maintain up-to-date issue/action logs through to closure.

Job description

Coordinate multi-disciplinary MEP design, clash detection, and documentation control for Data Centre projects, ensuring design packages progress smoothly through to project completion and sign-off. The scope of ownership you take on will range from supporting a Lead/Senior Design Coordinator to independently leading design coordination on hyperscale and colocation builds. This will scale with your experience level.

Location

Remote or Hybrid with travel to European client sites as required. Locations include Dublin, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

• Run, and with experience lead, federated BIM model reviews using Revit/Navisworks, logging and resolving clashes ahead of construction.
• Track RFIs, submittals, and design change bulletins; maintain up-to-date issue/action logs through to closure.
• Maintain document control, ensuring design packages are filed to the correct revision and reflect the latest approved status.

Stakeholder & Document Management

• Support scheduling and minuting of design coordination meetings between client, consultants, contractors, and AE/EoR firms, growing into a chairing role as experience develops.
• Act as a point of contact between design consultants, contractors, client representatives, and the ZeroOne team.
• Support coordination with utility providers on power, gas, and telecoms connection works where required.

Quality, Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare coordination status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Support QA/QC processes and MEP-related health & safety requirements on site.
• Support root-cause analysis and lessons-learned reviews on design issues as scope grows.

Handover & Development

• Support coordination of as-built drawings and O&M manuals, and client training with MEP contractors, at practical completion.
• As experience grows, mentor junior coordinators and engineers on coordination best practice.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2-8 years' experience in design coordination, BIM coordination, or a related construction support role.
• Working knowledge of Revit/Navisworks; strong organisational and communication skills; familiarity with Data Centre MEP systems and construction documentation processes.
• Awareness of QA/QC processes and site health & safety requirements is a plus.
• Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union and be able to provide evidence of their work authorization if requested.

Preferred Certifications

• Autodesk Revit/Navisworks certification.
• PMP or Prince2, commensurate with experience.
• Experience within AE/EoR delivery models.

Remuneration will be competitive and will be set in line with the successful candidate's level of experience, reflecting current market benchmarks for specialist data centre engineering talent in Europe.
