Job summary

TechHeads, Dublin-based, is partnering with a client to recruit a Technical Project Manager for the Managed Services / Operations team. This senior role focuses on IT operations and complex technology delivery, with end-to-end responsibility from development through go-live and BAU, but it is not a hands-on technical position.

You will coordinate multiple workstreams, manage RAID, risks and dependencies, and ensure the service is production-ready with robust reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in complex technology/IT operations environments.
• Experience delivering IT operations/managed services projects end-to-end.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated Managed Services/Operations delivery plan and milestones.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, ORT, Pilot, Go-Live, Hypercare and BAU.
• Manage RAID, risks, issues, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Security, and Service Management.
• Ensure service readiness, including ITSM processes, documentation, and training.
• Provide clear reporting to senior management and client governance.

Technical Project Manager – Managed Services

TechHeads is delighted to be partnering with one of our clients who are recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to join their Managed Services / Operations team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in IT Operations, Managed Services and complex technology delivery.

You will manage the end-to-end delivery journey from development and integration through SIT, UAT, ORT, Pilot, Go-Live, Hypercare and BAU, ensuring technical and operational teams are aligned and the service is fully ready for production.

This is not a hands-on technical role, but you will need strong technical and operational knowledge to understand complex environments, challenge delivery teams and manage dependencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain the integrated Managed Services / Operations delivery plan, including Microsoft Project / MPP.
• Manage delivery across SIT, UAT, ORT, Pilot, Go-Live, Hypercare and BAU.
• Coordinate multiple technical and operational workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
• Manage RAID, critical paths, resources, risks, issues and dependencies, driving actions through to closure.
• Work closely with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Service Management, Testing, suppliers and client stakeholders.
• Ensure the service is fully operationally ready, including support models, monitoring, ITSM processes, documentation, training and escalation paths.
• Manage service transition and the successful handover into BAU / OPEX Managed Services.
• Provide clear and credible reporting to senior management, client governance and Board-level stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 7+ year’s project management experience, ideally within complex technology, IT Operations or Managed Services environments.
• Strong experience managing technical and operational workstreams within complex programmes.
• Proven experience taking solutions from development through testing, operational readiness, Go-Live and BAU.
• Strong understanding of IT Operations, ITSM / ITIL and Managed Services.
• Technically credible across cloud, infrastructure, networking, applications and systems integration.
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills, with the confidence to challenge teams and influence people who do not report directly to you.
• Strong experience with RAID, dependencies, milestones, critical paths and delivery planning.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or another project management tool.
• Project Management certification is desirable but not essential — commercial delivery experience is key.
• Candidate must currently be located in Ireland and hold an EU Passport or Stamp 4 Visa.
