Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, USA (intern/co-op) seeks a motivated student to join Technical Operations. You will generate, review, and approve process documentation, and support development, qualification, and process improvements for GMP-compliant manufacturing and new product introduction.

You will participate in cross-functional meetings, assist investigations, and help maintain QMS standards while developing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related science, engineering, or technical discipline.
• PQ20

Responsibilities

• Generation, review and approval of process documentation.
• Execution of development and qualification studies across commercial and non-commercial product.
• Representing Technical Operations department at cross functional meetings.
• Development and qualification of new processes.
• Support investigations and troubleshooting of process studies as required.
• Technical support for commercial manufacturing.
• Technical support for new product introduction.
• Ensure compliance with the QMS, industry/company standards and regulations.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactively act to improve personal knowledge and capability.
• Demonstrate awareness of own capabilities and development needs.
• Apply technical knowledge to author technical documents and guide technical decisions.
• Support audit readiness, including preparation of story boards and GMP compliant documents for auditors.
• Collaborate to drive a safe, compliant culture.
• Contribute to a high performing, inclusive culture and personal growth.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
