Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd in Ireland seeks a Technical Manager for a growing residential developer with a large landbank across Dublin and Wicklow, active on 4+ sites.

You will oversee design management, technical coordination with engineers and consultants, and ensure compliance with planning conditions, building regulations and BCAR.

The role requires strong leadership, value engineering, tender review, construction support, QA, risk management and rigorous handover of technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design Management: Oversee architectural, structural, civil and building services design.
• Technical Coordination: Coordinate design teams, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Planning & Compliance: Ensure compliance with planning conditions, building regulations and statutory requirements.
• Building Regulations: Oversee compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR and relevant technical standards.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-effective design and construction solutions without compromising quality.
• Tender & Procurement: Review technical specifications, tender documentation and contractor proposals.
• Construction Support: Resolve technical queries and design issues during construction.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor design quality, workmanship, specifications and technical standards.
• Risk Management: Identify and resolve design, construction and compliance risks.
• Handover: Ensure completion of technical documentation, certification and as-built information.
