Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience in electric utility distribution systems or related field.
  • Strong experience in distribution operations such as feeder operations, switching practices, outage response, restoration, control centre, or operational reliability.
  • Experience with resilience-related work such as vulnerability assessment, storm or extreme event response, resilience planning, or risk-informed decision-making.
  • Experience performing independent technical analysis and contributing to complex technical project execution with limited supervision.
  • Experience working with utilities and industry stakeholders to address technical challenges and translate emerging needs into relevant technical work or future opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical research and analysis related to distribution operations, reliability, and resilience.
  • Support execution of technical projects for utilities and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical reports, presentations, workshops, and other client-facing materials.
  • Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to understand needs and inform technical work.
  • Help identify future research, project, and business development opportunities.
  • Work across teams to connect operational and resilience perspectives in project execution.
  • Utilize emerging AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and support business objectives.
