Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Ireland seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to drive power distribution grid digitisation, sensor analytics, and customer-focused solutions.

You will lead grid monitoring deployments, work with VT Electron systems, and develop high-quality documentation for utilities and internal teams. The role requires 6+ years in distribution networks, substations experience, tender involvement, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of six years working within electricity distribution systems including network operations and system integration.
• Experience with distribution system operators on digitalisation or network modernisation projects.
• Field experience of primary and secondary substations in distribution networks.
• Experience with technical tender responses and customer solution development within a utility context.
• Proven ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation for engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagements and site deployments.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on electricity distribution systems including MV/LV networks operations and control centre processes.
• Lead the technical development and deployment of grid monitoring and analysis solutions based on advanced sensing platforms and high-resolution data acquisition.
• Apply innovative sensor technologies to improve real-time network observability and condition monitoring techniques.
• Develop analytics models, fault detection strategies, and situational awareness tools for informed operations.
• Work with software teams to transform data into actionable insights via visualisations and cloud platforms.
• Represent Analog Devices in technical workshops and tender submissions ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
