What's In It For You

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Integration Architect who plays a pivotal role in shaping the integration architecture that enables global business for Trane Technologies. This role leads the design of scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions across a complex enterprise landscape spanning SaaS platforms, on-premises applications, APIs, middleware, and cross-platform connectivity.

Working at the intersection of enterprise architecture, delivery teams, middleware platforms, and business stakeholders, this individual will translate strategic objectives into robust technical solutions that are aligned with enterprise standards and built for long-term scalability, maintainability, and resilience.

This is a high-impact architecture role for a candidate who combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural judgment, business acumen, and the ability to influence across functions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in integration and middleware architecture, API design, and enterprise solution delivery, along with the leadership capability to guide complex decisions, establish reusable patterns, and drive consistency across an evolving technology ecosystem.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise integration solutions involving middleware, APIs, event-driven patterns, batch architecture, and cross-platform connectivity.
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to define integration solutions that are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Partner with IT, enterprise architecture, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to translate strategic business requirements into effective technical integration solutions.
  • Establish and promote reusable integration assets, patterns, and reference architectures across enterprise middleware and API platforms.
  • Provide architectural oversight across the full integration lifecycle, including design, implementation, and transition to support.
  • Mentor developers and technical teams on advanced development concepts, integration patterns, and platform capabilities.
  • Communicate architecture direction, design rationale, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Assess and incorporate AI-enabled integration capabilities where they deliver measurable business value, while ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in architecture practices by evaluating emerging technologies, evolving enterprise needs, and industry best practices.
  • Lead and contribute to Architecture Review Board (ARB) governance, ensuring integration solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term architectural strategy.
What you will bring:

Successful candidates will bring strong business acumen, technical depth, and experience in enterprise integration and middleware architecture, along with the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, including substantial hands-on experience translating complex strategic business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to create visual diagrams using Miro, Draw.io, or similar tools to communicate integration architectures and solutions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience integrating on-premises and SaaS applications. Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with API design patterns, event-driven architecture, RESTful principles, and API security protocols.
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Google Apigee, AWS integration services, Oracle Integration, or Oracle Fusion Middleware / SOA Suite.
  • Proficiency in enterprise integration patterns, architecture frameworks, and messaging protocols. Ability to drive continuous improvement in integration solution designs, leveraging emerging technologies and industry best practices.
