Job summary

Accenture Ireland is seeking a Technical Architect to own end-to-end solution architecture across cloud, AI and enterprise platforms, translating business strategy into pragmatic designs.

You will lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, engage senior stakeholders, and shape delivery with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and modern practices.

This role expects hands-on delivery, sponsorship of AI-enabled tooling, and active contribution to Accenture’s architecture community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, or significant experience in lieu of formal qualification.
• Deep commercial experience in technical or solution architecture roles with end-to-end ownership on complex programmes.
• Hands-on expertise across at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, distributed systems, data and security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for areas of architecture for complex, enterprise-scale programmes from target-state definition to delivery oversight.
• Define and drive architecture decisions (build/buy/reuse) with clear trade-offs, risks and dependencies.
• Lead architecture design reviews and governance forums, ensuring standards are applied consistently across workstreams.
• Produce and maintain architecture blueprints, reference architectures and ADRs as the definitive technical record.
• Mentor and develop a team of technical leads and senior engineers.
