Job summary

FBD Insurance seeks an Underwriting Team Lead to drive profitability and growth in Commercial Business across Property, Liability and Fleet lines. You will lead a team, implement underwriting strategies, and ensure high service levels for branches and brokers, while meeting regulatory standards.

A CIP qualification is required, with a minimum of five years' relevant experience. The role supports a hybrid working model and focuses on coaching and developing staff to achieve objectives.

About The Role

FBD’s strategy includes the objective to profitably grow our Commercial & Fleet Business.

We are seeking to appoint an Underwriting Team Lead to support the continued growth of our Commercial Business across, Property and Liability and fleet lines of business.

Job Responsibilities

• Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
• Support and implement FBD Strategy in Commercial & Fleet Underwriting.
• Develop and implement overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided to FBD Sales Branches and our Broker panel.
• Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries.
• Implementing and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards.
• Implement, administer, and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives.
• Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives.
• Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance.
• Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
• Ability to manage and support a team in both operational and technical environments.

Education

Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).
