Job summary

Forvis Mazars Ireland is seeking an experienced System and Infrastructure Administrator & Project Lead to maintain and optimize our core on‑premises IT environment while guiding the shift to a hybrid cloud model. You will oversee 16+ VMware hosts, ~200 servers, and 1,000 users, delivering secure, scalable infrastructure.

You will own end‑to‑end infrastructure projects, manage AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs, follow ISO27001, and collaborate with global IT and MSPs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Windows Systems Administration in an enterprise environment (1,000+ users preferred).
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter (specifically vSphere 8 or recent versions).
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016+ (2019 preferred), Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP basics.
• Solid understanding of core Azure concepts (IaaS, PaaS, resource groups, virtual networking, storages).
• Familiarity with project management frameworks (Agile, Prince2, or PMP).
• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) highly recommended.
• Parallels RAS Server knowledge is a plus.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced System and Infrastructure Administrator & Project Lead to maintain and optimize our core on-premises IT infrastructure while spearheading our transition to a hybrid cloud model. In this role, you will be part of a team managing a robust environment featuring 16+ VMware hosts and approximately 200 servers supporting 1,000 users. You will deploy new solutions to keep our environment secure, lead critical infrastructure projects, and collaborate closely with Forvis Mazars global IT and our local Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
