Job summary

Citco in Ireland seeks a senior Custody Services leader to oversee client delivery, risk and onboarding for complex fund structures. You will partner with senior operations teams to ensure high standards and timely client reporting.

The role requires 10+ years in financial services, strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting, and proven leadership. Based in Cork, the role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to shape client experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master level degree in accounting, finance, economics or professional accounting designation (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
• 10+ years experience in Financial Services, preferably with exposure to Product Control, Operations, Custody or Fund Accounting environments.
• Formal 5-7 years’ experience in a leadership capacity managing people.
• Strong technical knowledge of Hedge Fund Accounting, Investor Relations and Custody.
• Good understanding of Financial Markets / Fund Services Business.
• Exposure to systems implementations and workflow initiatives.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Proven managerial capabilities with risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client service delivery and monitor service provision for key clients.
• Formulate and implement key client service programs.
• Liaise with internal operations to ensure awareness of client requirements.
• Visit clients periodically to evaluate service quality and priorities.
• Represent Custody in new business pitches and client presentations.
• Review and support new client mandates, including RFP analysis.
• Forecast FTE and resources to support onboarding and growth.
• Assist in resolving complex client issues.
• Run escalation and complaints management within the team.
• Train and assist Senior Account Managers in their teams.
• Review procedures and supervise adherence within the department.
• Participate in client conference calls and reporting deadlines.
• Manage ongoing risk assessment of funds under administration.
• Identify issues and propose company-wide solutions for high-risk projects.
• Responsible for Operational Risk reporting and project work related to Citco Custody.

About The Team & Business Line

Fund Administration and Custody are Citco’s core business within the Fund of Funds Operations, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. As a core member of our Custody Services team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award‑winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• You will oversee client service delivery and monitor service provision to agree standards for key clients.
• You will formulate and implement key client service program.
• You will liaise internally with key operational areas to ensure awareness by all of key client requirements.
• You will visit clients on periodic basis to evaluate service quality and identify client priorities.
• Represent Custody in new business pitches, mandate meetings, and client presentations.
• Review and support new client mandates, including RFP analysis, response completion, and custody‑specific input.
• Perform FTE and resource forecasting to support new client onboarding and business growth initiatives.
• You will assist in the resolution of complex client issues.
• You will run Escalation and Complaints Management within the team and within the department.
• You will manage, train, and assist assigned Senior Account Managers in the successful running of their teams.
• You will participate in the review of department procedures and policies and supervision of Senior Account Managers to ensure adherence to these procedures.
• You will participate in client conference calls.
• You will liaise with clients re reporting requirements and deadlines, ensuring delivery in an accurate and timely manner.
• You will manage continuous risk assessment of current and potential new funds under administration.
• You will identify issues/concerns and recommend company wide solutions for any/all high risk projects.
• You will be responsible for Operational Risk – Monthly reporting on status reports and key development issues.
• You will be responsible for project work – proactive approach to industry and regulatory changes and the development and promotion within Citco Custody Limited.
• You will be participating in and leading projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business.

Qualifications

About You:

• You will have a Bachelor or master level degree in accounting, finance, economics or professional accounting designation (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
