Job summary

Arup is seeking a Mechanical Engineering placement student in Ireland to work with Building Services engineers. You will perform thermal/modelling tasks, develop designs in Revit, and contribute to decarbonisation strategies for multiple projects across sectors.

You’ll visit sites to review progress and ensure quality installations. The role supports students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or Building Services Engineering, NFQ level 8/9 or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or Building Services Engineering (NFQ Level 8/9 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Undertake Thermal and Building Regulation Compliance modelling using IESVE or other similar software.
• Use of Revit to develop designs and tender and contract information.
• Prepare and input to decarbonisation strategies for buildings with respect to both operational efficiency and adoption of renewable energy technologies.
• Carry out analysis of new technologies and how they can be incorporated into projects to ensure sustainable and robust design.
• Visit construction sites to review progress and monitor the quality of installation works.
