CoAction West Cork is seeking a part-time Support Worker to join the Castletownbere Day Residential Services. The role involves assisting with vocational training programs, social activities, and personal care in a respectful, supportive environment.

Reporting to the Community Access Facilitator and Social Care Leader, you will help plan, implement and review activities, ensuring safety and dignity for all service users.

Competenze

• Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic IT skills including typing and word processing.
• Ability to work in a team and use initiative.
• Ability to advocate for service users and maintain confidentiality.

Mansioni

• Deliver and adapt programmes under the guidance of the Community Access Facilitator/Social Care Leader.
• Support individuals with personal care (clothing, feeding, toileting, hygiene).
• Promote a friendly, respectful environment and safety in the centre/group home.
• Supervise activities, assist with recreational activities and outings.
• Maintain records and report incidents in line with procedures.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team and follow CoAction policies.
